Blog Post #2- Taryn

Jewish people held prisoner in Dachau, a concentration camp in Southeastern Germany near the end of World War II. The young men and older boys being freed made me happy to see, and after reading Night, it gave me hope and reassurance that good things happened in this war, no matter how late. They had a flag on top of a rooftop, and there are at least several hundred people in this photo outside one of their barracks. https://collections.ushmm.org/search/catalog/pa1175236

  1. Taryn,

This is a very important moment in history where people are free. I am glad you noticed it. I like how you basically made a summary of this so everyone can get a great description of what is happening in this picture. Great Work!!! :)

  2. Good job Taryn! It’s great how you have touched on your emotions regarding the photo, and are showcasing this important moment! At liberation, what do you think were the emotions of the prisoners? Overjoyed, overall exhausted, resentful that liberation came so late, or a combination of all three?
