"Burning Victims" by: Sylvie Guinan-Linck
Burning Victims
Weak and massacred,
the tortured victims.
Hold onto life.
Fire! I see a fire!
The worst poison destined to feed the gas chambers and crematoria.
Those flames in the air, I smell the burning of flesh.
I see children torn from their mothers with my own eyes,
and huge mass graves where the dead are piled on top of the living.
I hear thousands of slaves cry out for help.
I wish for a silent death, suffocation. No way to scream.
But the final solution is turning a machine gun.
who could have imagined such things!
Weak and massacred,
the tortured victims.
Hold onto the tragedies of the Jewish past.
Hi Sylvie,
ReplyDeleteI like how you focused on the death aspect of the holocaust. You showed what it was really like for victims and I liked the way you presented it. One line that I liked was "The worst poison destined to feed the gas chambers and crematoria."
Hi Sylvie,
ReplyDeleteI like the theme of sorry and despair because it is a good way to describe the holocaust.
